CBS Kilkenny students and staff are preparing for a new dawn in the school's history as it closed its doors for the final time on Friday evening.

Minister, Norma Foley, announced that the Kilkenny school, based on James' Street in the city since 1859, is one of three Kilkenny schools to receive funding as part of 'Project Nore' with a new school building that will cater for 1,000 students and include special classes for students with additional needs set to open in September.
