The Butts in Kilkenny
Local councillors have once again raised their concerns over HGV traffic passing through the Butts area of Kilkenny City.
"There is a serious safety issue up there. People are turning right at the Tullaroan Road and using it as a rat run," Cllr Eugene McGuinness said.
"Families are going out to stop traffic. That in itself is going to cause a problem and we need to do something as quickly as possible.

"I’ve seen it for myself and they (vehicles) are flying up the Butts. It’s dangerous and it has to be sorted," the local councillor added.
It’s understood a right turn prohibition will be introduced imminently.
