Local Fine Gael councillor, David FitzGerald has called on Kilkenny County Council to fast track the delivery of a new road to connect the Ballycallan Road to the Tullaroan Bypass.
Cllr FitzGerald believes such a measure would reduce the volume of traffic on the Waterbarracks and Butts Roundabout and alleviate traffic congestion in St Canice’s Parish in Kilkenny City.

The matter is expected to be discussed further at Monday's Plenary meeting of Kilkenny County Council.
