Kilkenny Live understands gardaí assisted local fire services in extinguishing a fire at a premises on Rose Street in the city centre overnight.
"Reports of a fire emerged shortly after 1am last night (Wednesday)," a source told this publication.
"The premises was closed at the time and no injuries have been reported."
