An Garda Síochana in Kilkenny have responded to an accident on John Street in the city centre.
Kilkenny Live understands a pedestrian was knocked down shortly before 2.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
The person has since been brought to St Luke's Hospital for treatment.
Drivers are being asked to use alternative routes, while the city bus service is utilising St Francis Bridge.
