What We Know as three separate fires are reported in Kilkenny

An Garda Síochana are continuing their investigations following three separate fire incidents in Kilkenny over the past week.

On Tuesday evening shortly after 6pm, multiple units of Kilkenny Fire Brigade attended the scene of an incident just off New Street in Kilkenny City.

Smoke could be seen billowing from the former cash and carry site in the area.

Meanwhile, less than 24 hours later, a bin fire was reported on High Street. No significant damage is believed to have been done.

Later that night, emergency services responded to a reported incident of criminal damage by fire involving a motor vehicle.

The incident occurred in the Village Business Centre car-park (off Coote's Lane) between 9.05pm and 9.35pm on Wednesday. The local fire service extinguished the fire preventing further damage and there were no reports of injuries.
