Several Kilkenny landmarks lit up to remember babies who tragically have passed away

Several buildings across Kilkenny lit up in pink and blue to mark Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Amongst them were UPMC Nowlan Park and Kilkenny Castle, which were illuminated to support Féileacáin’s Wave of Light.

Each light is a way to remember the babies who are gone but never forgotten, and to show bereaved families that their babies matter and are remembered.

Each year on October 15th, people around the world light a candle at 7pm local time in memory of babies who have died. As 7pm reaches one place after another, the candles join into a continuous wave of light around the world.
