The new cookery school of Kilkenny based Chef, Edward Hayden, known to many from his weekly cookery appearances on TV3’s ‘Ireland AM’ is to open next week.
The state-of-the-art Cookery School, in his native Graignamanagh will officially open on Saturday, July 18 with an open invitation to all. Edward will be doing cookery demonstrations over the weekend as well as giving hands-on tuition. Boasting private dining facilities, he will also be doing children’s cookery workshops and corporate team building events.
The cookery school, with Brandon Hill in the background, boasts a large kitchen suitable for both demonstration and hands-on classes with an adjoining dining room and stylish utility room area.
In Edward’s usual open style, he will host an open weekend in the school of cookery on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 from 10am to 6pm each day, where the public can come (at a time of their convenience) and enjoy a complimentary range of mouth-watering treats and a tour of the new facilities.
Carlow/Kilkenny based radio station KCLR will present an outside broadcast of ‘The Saturday Show’ from the Cookery School on July 18. Edward will be joined at his cookery classes by friend and cookery companion, Olivia O’Driscoll. The dynamic duo are a winning combination and guests are ensured of a wonderful, educational evening of fun, relaxation and gastronomic delights with them. Edward has devised an extensive schedule of classes for all levels of culinary proficiency including: Tasty Tapas, Dinner Parties with Ease, Children’s Cookery Workshops, Gluten Free Cookery and Great Sunday Roasts with all the Trimmings.
