Traffic management plan in place in Kilkenny for U20 All-Ireland hurling final

A traffic management plan is underway in Kilkenny as 26,000 hurling fans are expected at Nowlan Park this evening for the u20 All Ireland hurling final.

Roads policing inspector, Paul Donohoe is asking Tipperary and Offaly fans to follow garda signs on approach roads into the city and assured them that there are adequate parking facillities.

"We are expecting in excess of 26,000 people so we are asking people to come as early as you can and get your parking. Leave in plenty of time and avoid the rush," he said adding that throw in is at 7.15pm.

Parking is signposted and available at entrance points into the city and at County Hall, O'Loughlin Gaels, St Canice's Hospital, St James Park, St Kieran's College and Hebron Industrial Estate.
