Kilkenny boxer continues to excel in professional ranks

Brandon McCarthy took his professional record to 5-0 on Saturday evening in California, defeating Jose Rodriguez. 

The Clogh native dominated his opponent in a hard-hitting contest that went the full six rounds.

The event was beamed to homes across the world on Pro Box TV.

McCarthy stepped into professional boxing after a successful stint as an amateur in February 2024. The 24 year old North Kilkenny boxer claimed 16 National Titles and European and World Championships at every level during his time as an amateur.
