Well wishes and congratulatory messages have been in no short supply for Kilkenny's newest wedded couple as Chris and Elaine Whearty tied the knot in a local ceremony in recent days.
In a social media post, Whearty's club Evergreen described their senior player as a "legend" and a "a true gentleman".
"Huge congratulations to Chris Whearty and his new wife Elaine!," the post began.

"The term legend can be used too often at times but not in this instance. An absolute Evergreen club legend and a true gentleman.
"Everyone at the club could not be happier for Chris and Elaine! Congrats guys, enjoy the celebrations," a club spokesperson concluded.
