Christmas Dinner for the Homeless in Kilkenny

A voluntary team made up of clergy and army personnel from the city and environs are doing their bit to make Christmas easier for those who are less well of or are living on their own.

Christmas Day Dinner outreach team will provide Christmas dinners for 40 homeless people on Christmas Day and St. Stephens day.

This year the Army Barracks and O’Brien’s Butchers Loughboy are providing cooked dinner for the Good Shepherd Centre and those living alone.

Fr Willie Purcell of the Kilkenny Gospel Choir said it was important for all of us to check up on our neighbours at this vulnerable time of year.
