The team at Kilkenny Live will be on the ground throughout as the boxes are opened, the tallies are taken, and the action gets under way
Kilkenny goes to the polls on Friday to have its say in the Local and European Elections.
Across the county, 50 candidates are seeking your vote to represent you on Kilkenny County Council for the next five years. Twenty-three candidates are doing likewise for Europe.
The count is set to take place at Lyrath Estate convention centre on Saturday. With a huge number of candidates and European boxes to be opened first, it’s likely it will continue into Sunday, and probably Monday.
Due to capacity, public access to the count centre is to be restricted via a ticketing system, so there’s only one place to keep abreast of everything that’s happening over the weekend— and that’s at www.kilkennypeople.ie.
The team from Kilkenny Live will be on the ground throughout as the boxes are opened, the tallies are taken, and the action gets under way.
We’ll be working hard to bring you all the action from the count centre, all the drama, the highs and lows, the early trends and indicators, and the winners and losers, as we find out what our next council will look like.
We’ll see you there — and if not, check out our live blog and get in touch on social media, and let us know what you make of it on www.kilkennypeople.ie.
