The Roads Policing Unit of An Garda Síochana made two seizures in the North Kilkenny on Monday evening.
"One (driver) thought that failing your driving test three times entitles you to drive unaccompanied. Sorry no," a post to the An Garda Síochana Facebook page read.
"Another thought that just because you drive a Northern Irish-registered car, we won't check if it's insured or tested. Sorry wrong.
"If you want to remain in the driving seat of your SEAT or indeed any car, first make sure you're legally on the road," the post concluded.
