Permission has been granted, subject to five conditions, on extension plans for a hospital in Kilkenny.
UPMC Aut Even Hospital had sought permission for the extension of their hospital campus on the Freshford Road, on the outskirts of Kilkenny City.
The construction of a four-storey extension is planned to the rear of the existing hospital, to accommodate a new lift and associated lobbies.
Also planned is a single-storey extension to the front of the existing hospital to accommodate a café, two MRI imaging rooms and associated support accommodation.
Alterations to the rear and side elevations were sought as well as the construction of a single-storey link corridor to the rear of the existing hospital.
