Today, with advanced treatments, many cancers can be cured or controlled for longer periods. However, a cancer diagnosis brings multiple challenges for patients and their families. That's where palliative care services come in.
Since 1989, the Carlow Kilkenny Home Care Team has been providing invaluable palliative care services to patients with cancer at all stages of their journey. Their dedication and support make a significant difference in the lives of those facing this difficult battle.
"I'm incredibly proud to be a part of the Retired Nurses Association, and we are absolutely thrilled to have raised such a substantial amount of funds for the Carlow Kilkenny HomeCare Team. Every euro contributed will help them continue their vital work and make a positive impact in the lives of cancer patients and their families," said Cllr John Coonan.
"A big thank you to everyone who attended the Retired Nurses Association Mass and generously donated. Your support and generosity make a real difference in our community. Together, we can bring comfort, care, and hope to those who need it most.
"Let's continue to rally behind this wonderful cause and make a lasting impact in the lives of cancer patients."
