A fundraising community event will take place in Kilmoganny over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The main event is a 24-hour walkathon around the newly lit and tarmacadam walking track in memory of two young women and members of the local hurling club who died last year. It's been dubbed Light Up Your Memories, and there will be a memory board where people can write the names of who they are walking in memory of and think of them while on the track.
There will also be a series of events in the pitch with games races and giant sports day. A sketch will take place in the pub called Oh Doctor!!! And a band, Folk That, will round up the night.
