Kilkenny musician pays tribute to the late Sinead O'Connor

Kilkenny musician Tomas Jackman has paid tribute to singer Sinead O'Connor, who died on Wednesday aged 56.

O'Connor was best-known for her 1990 song Nothing Compares 2 U.

The Irish star was found dead in her London home, with her family saying they were "devastated" by the death of "our beloved Sinead."

The Metropolitan Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Local performer Tomas Jackman says he was a 'huge fan' of the performer:

"She was a very unique talent and a troubled soul who spoke her mind and didn't mince her words. Not everyone agreed with her but they did admire her, she will be sadly missed".
