Call for nominations for Carer of the Year 2023

Family Carers Ireland is making a final appeal to the Kilkenny community to submit nominations for the Netwatch Family Carer of the Year Awards 2023.

This is the last chance for Kilkenny residents to honour the remarkable individuals who selflessly care for their loved ones.

The Netwatch Family Carer of the Year Awards celebrate the invaluable contributions made by Ireland’s family carers who are the backbone of our society and go above and beyond each day in providing remarkable levels of care at home for family and friends with additional needs.

Family Carers Ireland is encouraging friends, family members, neighbours and community leaders in Kilkenny to nominate deserving family carers from the region. Nominations can be submitted online until the closing date on Monday 16th October 2023.

Catherine Cox, Head of Communications and Policy at Family Carers Ireland, commented on the significance of the awards, saying: "Family carers in Kilkenny and across Ireland play a crucial role in our society and their dedication too often goes unnoticed. The Netwatch Family Carer of the Year Awards offer a vital opportunity to shine a light on their work and to express our gratitude for the love and care they provide.

“Family Carers Ireland believes that every family carer's story is worth sharing and each nominee will receive well-deserved recognition for their incredible efforts. We urge everyone in Kilkenny to take this last opportunity to nominate a deserving family carer and help us celebrate their unwavering commitment."
