Nabory, an eleven-year-old girl from Kilkenny with a passion for camogie and painting, is seeking help to raise money for a vital insulin pump.
Nabory has Type 1 Diabetes and describes it ‘like a cloud that sometimes blocks the sun’.
“When I’m out on the camogie field, I should be chasing the ball, not worrying about my blood sugar,” she said.
“And when I’m in front of my canvas, I should be lost in the world of Impressionism, not the world of insulin injections and glucose shots.
“It’s even scarier when I have to deal with both hypo and hyperglycemia.
“I’ve been told that I'll have to wait for 2-3 long years for an insulin pump due to a backlog in the system.
“It’s heartbreaking to think about the things I'll miss out on during that time so this fundraiser is my lifeline.
“Here’s where you come in. Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference in my life.
“Every penny counts, and I appreciate your kindness. Your support is the light that guides me on this journey through the clouds.”
