Martin Brett and David FitzGerald have both been selected to run for Fine Gael in next year's local elections.
The pair will be aiming to retain their seats in the Kilkenny City Municipal District.
In the Castlecomer Municipal District, sitting Fine Gael councillors John Brennan and Mary Hilda Cavanagh will also be aiming to retain their seats.
Down in Piltown Municipal District, Fine Gael has three candidates selected to run.
Two of these candidates will be looking to retain their seats (Fidelis Doherty and Pat Dunphy) but new candidate Damien Donoghue will also be vying for selection.
In Callan-Thomastown Municipal District, Fine Gael candidates have not yet been formally selected however sitting councillor Pat O'Neill has confirmed to Kilkenny Live that he will not be contesting.
The other two current sitting Fine Gael councillors in the district are Joe Lyons and the current Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Michael Doyle.
The 2024 Irish local elections are scheduled to be held in all local authorities in Ireland in June next year.
