Tesco Ireland's first store in Kilkenny to open later this week!
The formal opening of Tesco Ireland’s first store in County Kilkenny will take place this Friday, November 17.
The outlet is opening at 12pm at Units 9 & 12, Ross Abbey Town Centre, Abbey Drive, Ferrybank, County Kilkenny.
Store Manager Colm Cleary will be joined on the day by some local suppliers and community groups involved in the first round of the Tesco Community Fund.
Kilkenny's lack of a Tesco outlet has often been referenced in popular media but it looks like the county could soon have three!
According to Mayor of Kilkenny, Cllr Joe Malone, Tesco are actively preparing a masterplan to develop the old mart site in Kilkenny City and are also seeking to develop the ex-Argos unit on High Street.
