O'Sheas Hotel, Tramore, County Waterford
O'Shea's Hotel in Tramore in County Waterford, popular with staycationers from Kilkenny, is poised to be sold.
The establishment confirmed the news earlier this week on social media, in a post from proprietor Noreen O'Shea.
"To my dear customers, guests, staff, suppliers, service people and friends, it is with very mixed emotions that I wish to inform you that after many sleepless nights, I have now finally decided to sell O’Shea’s Hotel," the statement read.
"I shall miss you all very much, thank you for your loyalty, custom and support throughout the years, however, there comes a time when you must step back and retire so this bring another emotion - relief and optimism that I am now retiring after spending 56 years and 6 months working and living here in the same place.
"My late husband Joe and family had many years of happiness and fun here in the hotel since June 1968.
"O’Shea’s Hotel will be sold to WFHTP Ltd and the takeover will be in a month's time. The hotel will continue to operate as a going concern and all staff will retain their jobs. I wish the new owners every success."
