Tipperary footballing great Declan Browne has been confirmed for a return to management with former charges Graigue Ballycallan's senior hurling team for the 2024 season.
The Kilkenny club's committee met last night and ratified the Moyle Rovers man for the coming year, and it is a return to the club which he guided the Intermediate county championship glory in 2018, which was quickly followed by a Leinster club championship title won later in the same year.
Eddie Brennan is among the big players to have come out of the Kilkenny club and in a statement released on their social media channels, they announced the appointment of the former Tipperary hurler and footballer.
"We are delighted to announce that tonight Declan Browne has been ratified as our new Senior Hurling Manager for 2024.
"The Two-Time Football All-Star played football and hurling with Tipperary. Declan was the 1st Tipperary footballer to win an All-Star for his county in 1998.
"Declan guided us back up to Senior hurling in Kilkenny in 2018 when we won the Intermediate County Final & he led us all the way to an Intermediate Leinster Final win.
"From everyone here in Graigue Ballycallan - welcome 'home' Declan. We are all looking forward to next season already."
