Research from the National Lottery has revealed that Dublin (20), Cork (6) and Waterford (5) are top of the table for the most EuroMillions millionaires in Ireland since the game was launched in 2004.
In that same time period, Kilkenny recorded just one EuroMillions millionaire.
There were also twelve Kilkenny Euromillions players that scooped wins above €100,000, bringing the total prize money for prizes of €100,000 and above in the county to €28,107,436.
If Friday’s staggering €200 million jackpot is won in Ireland, it will become the biggest ever lottery prize ever in Ireland, surpassing the €175.4 million EuroMillions jackpot won in the Naul in Dublin in 2019.
