The Social Democrats select their Kilkenny candidates for the upcoming local elections

The Social Democrats have confirmed two candidates will stand for the party in Co Kilkenny for the upcoming local elections following the party's selection convention in Butler House on Saturday, February 24.

Martin O'Neill will stand in the Kilkenny LEA, while David Kane will battle for a seat in the Piltown LEA.

The local elections will be held in June of this year with 949 seats up for grabs in 137 electoral areas across the country.
