Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter have pleaded with dog lovers to adopt Shadow
Carlow/Kilkenny dog shelter have pleaded with the public for someone to take Shadow a beautiful Staffie who has been at the shelter for three months.
The shelter made the urgent appeal to any dog lovers out there looking to adopt and give Shadow a forever loving home that he deserves.
In the post on Facebook, the shelter explained how Staffies do not do well in shelters, as they need lots of exercise, and staff at the shelter are not in a position to make this a reality every day for Shadow.
They also outlined the stress Shadow is under, and how he has lost weight as a result.
The post said,
"He is now at the shelter 3 months today, he is very stressed and despite numerous posts by ourselves and the wonderful My Lovely Horse Rescue he has had no suitable home offer.
"He is a Staffie and they don’t do well in kennels while we try to give him as much free time out of his kennel as possible it’s not enough, he is loosing (sic) weight and stressed most of the time, we find this difficult to watch so we are posting and pleading for someone to please offer him a home or if you are in a position to foster please contact my Lovely Horse Rescue.
"For now as an only pet in the home, no kids and a fully enclosed garden with high boundaries, he is such a super sweet boy who just wants your company, he loves to potter around and loves to play with a ball, please share to help us find somewhere soon for Shadow."
