'A character so full of life' - Tributes paid following sad passing of beloved woman from Kilkenny

Tributes have been paid following the sad death of Breda Henry, late of Walkin Street, Kilkenny and Russellstown, Athy, Co. Kildare, who passed away peacefully at Tallaght University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 5.

Breda is predeceased by loving parents Tom and Kathleen Henry.

She will be sorely missed by her siblings Eamonn (Castleknock), Des (Dunlavin), Ray (Athy), Maura (Long Island, NY), Carmel and Oliver (both Athy), sisters-in-law Sandra, Colette, Áine and Eileen, brothers-in-law Mike Connolly and Chris Delahunt, her 19 loving nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Breda, with one mourner writing,

"I am so saddened to hear that Breda has passed away. I shared a house with Breda in The Sycamores when I came to Kilkenny first. She was such a character and so full of life. My sincere sympathies to all Breda's family. May she rest in peace."

Another wrote, 

"Sincere Condolence to Henry family on their loss of their sister Breda , I have amazing memories of her growing up on farm with me when her dad Tom worked together on my farm. May she rest in peace."

While another wrote,

"Sincere condolences to Breda’s family at this sad time. Breda was a dedicated caring nurse and will be missed dearly by her colleagues and the service users she cared for. May her gentle soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at the Henry family home, Russellstown, Athy, Co. Kildare (R14 A006) on Tuesday afternoon July 9, from 3pm until 8pm. House private otherwise.

Removal on Wednesday morning, July 10th, to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie.

Burial afterwards in St. Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.
