Over the past few weeks, there has been a big push to carry out pavement surfacing on the Ferrybank to Curraghmore section of the South-East Greenway.
Public lighting has now been installed at two separate locations, Rosbercon to Raheen (along the opened section of greenway) and Ferrybank to Kilmurry.
The installation of public lighting and safety fencing at the greenway carpark in Glenmore is ongoing.

Once these work items are completed, a road safety audit will be undertaken prior to the full opening of the 39 bay carpark.
The programme remains on track for works to be completed by the end of the year.
Thereafter, this section of greenway will be subject to a safety audit and minor finishing out works to facilitate its opening to the public in Quarter 1, 2025.
