April - Big changes to parking in the city and masterplans proposed for rural towns

Kilkenny was well represented at the Irish National Boxing Championships by a talented team from Paulstown

Outside of the city, major developments in Paulstown were flagged, with the publication of a masterplan for the area.

Proposing that the plan go on public display, municipal district chairman Cllr Michael Delaney said that Paulstown has the potential to be a ‘mini city’ with the traffic that comes off the motorway there.

News for the south side of the county was not as good, when it was revealed a Callan care home was to close.

A petition was launched to keep the Aperee Living facility open, but it did eventually close, with all residents moving to other facilities.
