Kilkenny Civil Defence has made the decision to discontinue their presence on 'X' (formerly Twitter).
"Recent actions and policies from X - including concerns around peoples' rights, inclusivity, right to privacy and other ethical issues - are not aligned with our mission to create safe, respectful and supportive environments for all," an update from the organisation stated.
"Continuing on X would undermine our core values we stand for in promoting discrimination-free, equitable and inclusive environment for our volunteers, where diverse voices and experiences are recognised, respected and valued.

"We would ask that you stay connected with us through our other social media channels - Instagram, Facebook and TikTok - where we will continue to keep you up to date with the amazing work of our volunteers in the local community.
