Two young girls named Emily and Sadie recently saved their pocket money up to make a donation of food for the dogs at the Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter, located in Garryduff, Paulstown, County Kilkenny.

A post made by the Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter on Facebook reads:

"Thanks so much to Emily and Sadie who visited the shelter today with with their Mam Karen, these very kind and generous girls purchased food for the dogs with their pocket money. Thank you girls and well done."

Comments under the post are full of support for the kind gesture, with one reading: "How kind and generous of Emily and Sadie."
