Dog Shelter is pleading with the public to give one German S hepherd dog 'a chance' after two years in the local kennels.

The local shelter, based in Paulstown in County Kilkenny, told their followers 'Titan' is nearly two years looking for a home and is 'living his life behind a kennel gate'.

In a post online, they said: "He does get free time out of his run but every evening when the staff go home he is alone in his kennel when he should be in a home of his own.

"For the last three weeks Titan has been lucky enough to spend the weekends in a home, thanks to Jessica and Thomas who so kindly offered to give him a break from kennels as he was so stressed, we can’t thank you both enough," the post added.

"Titan gets so excited when he sees them coming to collect him, he has proved to be the perfect guest on his sleep overs, he is fully house trained, chilled out in the home, loves his walk and is very good on the lead, he is muzzle trained, not reactive to dogs while walking, sleeps quietly throughout the night and is just the best boy, what’s not to love?," they continued.

"Titan is looking for an adult only home, as the only pet, a fully enclosed garden will be required, he loves people and is very friendly, he loves to play ball, he would make a great companion for someone with Shepherd or large breed experience, there has to be someone out there willing to give him a chance, please if you think you are a suitable home for Titan contact us on 059-972-6785 or message us (via Facebook)."
