ALERT: Kilkenny commuters set to experience significant delays

There will be traffic diversions at Rice Bridge

Kilkenny commuters to Waterford are being advised of potential delays due to the planned closure of south quays in Waterford City this weekend.

In a public notice, Waterford City and County Council and BAM say inbound traffic will be stopped from Rice Bridge from 8pm on Saturday, April 12 to 6am on Monday, April 14.

There will be traffic diversions at Rice Bridge and the bus stop at Meagher’s Quay will be temporarily re-located.

The closure of the pedestrian crossings at the clock tower will be in place and clearly indicated.

Motorists and members of the public are being advised to adhere to all local traffic management and to follow the diversion route and directional signage for the duration of the works.
