Kilkenny gardaí were forced to pull over a HGV 16 tonnes over the legal limit earlier this week.
"Overweight? Lots of us are, and we're not ones to 'fat shame' but 16 tonnes over on the scales is too much when you're a HGV," local gardaí posted to social media.

"Our Roads Policing Unit stopped this truck earlier which was massively overweight.
"Proceedings to follow," the post concluded.
