Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Ballyhale, County Kilkenny yesterday (Sunday, April 20, 2025).
At approximately 12.40pm, gardaí and emergency services were alerted following a collision between a car and a motorcycle on the R448 at Knockwilliam.
The motorcyclist, a male aged in his 30s, was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

No other injuries were reported.
A technical examination of the scene was conducted by garda forensic collision investigators and the road has since been reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 12pm and 1pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
