Kilkenny's Mary Blanchfield has been appointed CEO of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.
The Bennettsbridge native, the mother of Kilkenny senior hurler David, has held the position of interim CEO since September 2024 and has been with the company for over 25 years.

The council supports designers and makers to develop their businesses in a sustainable way and currently has 67 member organisations nationwide.
