Decision on 20 houses in Kilkenny appealed to An Coimisiún Pleanála

Appeal lodged with An Coimisiún Pleanála against construction of Kilkenny housing development

A decision by Kilkenny County Council to grant planning permission to Daniel Fogarty (subject to 26 separate conditions) for a new residential development in Gowran has been appealed to An Coimisiún Pleanála.

The proposal included plans for the construction of 20 houses and eight serviced sites.

The proposed housing was to comprise of eight four-bedroom two-storey semi-detached homes and 12 three-bedroom two-storey semi-detached homes.

That original decision was made on June 4, 2025, following a review of revised plans and public submissions.

An Coimisiún Pleanála are now expected to make a decision on the plans by October 28, 2025.
