Kilkenny County Council have confirmed that the bathing advisory notice has been lifted in Graignamanagh following the most recent water test and advice from the HSE and Public Health Officials.
Recent bans at bathing swimming locations in Kilkenny City, Thomastown and Inistioge were lifted earlier this week, but remained in place in Graignamanagh leading to the cancellation of the annual regatta.
Lifeguards will be on duty at The Weir (Bleach Road), Bishopsmeadows, Thomastown Weir Pool, Inistioge and Graignamanagh between 1pm and 6.30pm, seven days a week to accommodate safe bathing.
Kilkenny County Council will continue testing water quality at each location to ensure safe bathing across the county.
