Kilkenny gardaí have issued a warning to local drivers following an arrest on the M9 Motorway in Danesfort.
Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit were conducting a speed checkpoint late last night when they detected the driver of a vehicle travelling in excess of the speed limit on the motorway.

The driver subsequently tested positive for a prevalent illegal drug.
"Never, ever drug drive. It could be your last trip. Prosecution to follow," a garda spokesperson said.
