NOMINATE! What Kilkenny person would you back to be the next President of Ireland?
Kilkenny Live readers have until Sunday evening to get their entries in!
The search may be on to find the next President of Ireland, but we want to know who would be the best local choice to take up the position.
The Kilkenny Live/Kilkenny People team want you to nominate somebody local and leave their name in the comments section of our social media channels.
The election itself will take place on Friday, October 24 and will determine who will be the tenth president of the country since the foundation of the State.
To run for Áras, a candidate must receive 20 nominees from Oireachtas members or receive the support of four county councils.
To be eligible, a candidate must be 35 years of age or older.
So tell us, what Kilkenny person would you select?
You can let us know your local choice by messaging or commenting on Facebook, Instagram or X.
