Unbelievable scene transpires as Kilkenny gardaí knock on door of wanted man

The Roads Policing Unit of An Garda Síochana in Kilkenny took swift action to arrest a driver while serving a summons on a house in Kilkenny on Wednesday.

The driver was known to have no driving licence or insurance.

"Delivering a summons to court is not fun but necessary to our job. Summons is one of two ways of going before a judge, the other is by arrest and charge," a garda spokesperson said.

"While one Garda was serving them on the spouse of the defendant, the other was sitting in the patrol car.

"Just then, the Disqualified driver drove into the estate in the vehicle known to the patrol car driver. A quick interception culminated in vehicle seizure and arrest," they continued.

"Justice is up to the courts but this driver has a serious case to answer on the date they are charged to and the date they are summonsed to."
