The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge links Kilkenny and Wexford
Ireland's longest bridge has been forced to close 'for the safety of road users' following an increase in wind speeds over the last hour due to Storm Bram.
Gusts of >33.8m/s have been reported, meaning that the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge is being closed until wind speeds have decreased sufficiently to reopen the bridge.
The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge spans 887 meters over the River Barrow linking Kilkenny and Wexford as part of the N25 New Ross Bypass.
Meanwhile, reports have been received of a trampoline on the M9 northbound between J11 (Mullinavat) and J10 (Knocktopher).
It is understood that An Garda Síochána is en route. Drivers are advised to approach with caution.
