Investigations are ongoing by local gardaí after an infant boy sustained serious injuries following an attack by two dogs at a residential property in Callan, County Kilkenny on Wednesday afternoon.

As previously reported by Kilkenny Live, gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3pm.

The boy is receiving treatment at Children's Health Ireland, Crumlin and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The dogs have been removed by the Dog Warden and arrangements are being made with the local veterinary services for their euthanisation.
