This series is directed towards community groups in the South East, (Tidy Town groups and community groups in Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford). The aim of these events is to provide basic information and introduce community groups from the South East to the SEAI’s Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) programme, highlighting the recruitment process, community engagement, grants, and funding opportunities.
“Communities often come to us at 3cea and want to know what they can do to save energy. They want greener energy use, ” said Gráinne Grainne Kennedy, Energy Engineer and Co-ordinator of the South East SEC programme. “These webinars will help people understand what can be done with community buildings, and homes, how to increase the use of renewable energy and, most importantly, where to get funding to make it possible.”
