Harry, Paul, Robin and Conor Maharaj of Kilkenny Architecural Salvage
RTÉ's 'Nationwide' travel to Kilkenny this evening (Monday) to visit an old mill where there is a treasure trove at Maharaj's Architectural Salvage Yard (Kilkenny Architectural Salvage).
The salvage yard is a family business located on the north side of Kilkenny on the Bleach Road, occupying the old woolen mills built in the 1800s.
At the time one of the largest employers in the area, the site covers a massive 90,000 square feet, and has more than a mile of river frontage onto the Nore.
Proprietor Robin Maharaj and his three sons (Paul, Harry and Conor) provide a happy hunting ground for a range of people including builders, contractors, interior designers and private individuals who are all looking to add that authentic touch to their project.
Robin set the company up in 1998 and is now celebrating over 20 years in business.
He lives and breathes the business with a continual focus on finding new and interesting items to stock the warehouse with.
Tonight's Nationwide episode will showcase the wealth of family history in the business and how there is a unique story behind every item.
Tune into 'Nationwide' on RTÉ One at 7pm this evening to find out more!
