‘Complicated’

Kilkenny District Court heard that directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions are still outstanding in this case.

It’s a “very complicated matter,” Sergeant Morgan O’Connor told Judge Geraldine Carthy.

Solicitor Joe Farrell said there have been “no flash points” since.

This was confirmed by Sgt O’Connor who said there have been no issues and people “are behaving.”

Bail Conditions

An application to alter the defendants’ bail conditions to signing on at a garda station one day a week was approved.

However, an application to lift a curfew was denied.

Judge Carthy adjourned the case to a sitting in October, for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions, peremptory against the state.
