There has been yet more disruption on local roads this morning as protests over the increased cost of fuel resumed.
Currently, the M9 motorway in Kilkenny is blocked at the Danesfort junction northbound, while earlier this week, significant delays were experienced along the Ring Road, where protest activity impacted traffic flow.
Fuel protesters blocking cities and towns around Ireland are "wrong" and those breaking the law will be penalised, the Taoiseach said on Wednesday.
Micheál Martin, Simon Harris and Sean Canny spoke to the press outside Government Buildings on Wednesday morning, and criticised the actions of those taking part in the demonstrations.
However, the public reaction has largely sounded a different tone, with Kilkenny Live readers having their say. - SEE BELOW

"Well done to everyone involved," one commenter wrote, while another added, "General election immediately."
"The independents who have supported this coalition should resign from their positions and stop propping up this government."
"The cheek of the government to say that these protesters are causing problems for people. These are the frontline workers who kept supplies to shops during Covid. When we were in lockdown putting their own lives on the line during Covid, I hope everyone thinks of this when the next election comes around, keep up good work," another reader posted.
However, some of our readers raised concerns about the protest action taken.
"My husband drives a truck to Dublin every night, albeit hes now having to work hours longer every evening as its taking time to do everything, and he's waiting on other trucks to arrive so he can be full coming back down the road, I support it, he drives for our living doesn't own the truck, but we both have cats and vans and have to heat our homes, fair play everyone and I'm 100% behind ye, its not easy but imagine when fuel hits 2.50 in may with the carbon tax, hauliers, farmers, businesses can not stay paying it, let alone the everyday worker like us," one lady wrote.
"Why are they punishing the general public with this protest? We’re all in the same boat, fuel cost-wise now, even worse with this protest. Not sure what it expects to achieve, to be honest."
