Update 3/1/23 11.25am: A further two men aged in their 20s and 30s have been arrested, bringing the total number of people arrested to eight.
Six men arrested in connection with a public order incident at a Killarney hotel have been charged.
The incident occurred between the men, all of whom are aged in their 30s, on Sunday January 1 at the hotel in Co Kerry.
It is understood more than one person received medical treatment following the incident, and Gardaí confirm these people have since been released from hospital.
All six were expected to appear before a sitting of Killarney District Court this morning (January 3) at 10.30am.
They are currently detained at Tralee and Killarney Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, which applies to any offence for which an adult (who hasn't been previously convicted) may be punished by imprisonment for a term of five years or more.
