ALERT: Penneys urges parents to return children's clothing item due to safety concern

A popular fashion retailer is carrying out a recall of a children's clothing item due to a safety concern.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), Primark Limited (t/a Penneys) has recalled their Faded Leaf Children’s Shorts due to the ends of the drawstrings measuring more than 20cm.

The drawstrings on the item (type/number of model: 3070301) could reportedly get entangled and cause accidents such as strangulation for children.

There are approximately 1,129 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

If you believe that you may have purchased an affected product, discontinue use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

If you have purchased this product then please return it to any Penneys/Primark store to avail of a full refund.
